Artist David Mills lives and works in the Eastern Market area of Washington, DC just steps from the U.S. Capitol. He studied art at the Corcoran School of Art and the University of Maryland University College. He later was invited to join the U.M.U.C faculty serving in the art department as an educator for over five years. His work has been exhibited throughout the Baltimore and Washington region for more than a decade. Most of David’s paintings reflect the ubiquitous social and political climate in which he is immersed. All of his work is born from thoughtful deliberation and is executed with an acute awareness of his emotional connection to each theme. The dialogue of the paintings are developed for months or years until as David says: “I can take the haunting no more.”
